KOO’s entry for the US Green Building Council’s Sustainable Suite Competition employs four environmentally-conscious strategies: provide a smaller footprint, use eco-friendly products, integrate building systems, provide an interactive, networked “game” to promote awareness and education through design decisions made in the room surfaces.

The project includes a folding Nanawall window system that allows the room to transform into an outdoor space. The bed may be moved onto the balcony to allow guests to sleep outside.
